Saved by Grace Alone

No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.

Acts 15:11 NIV

What must I do to be saved? This question comes up several times in the book of Acts, and in this chapter the first church council meets to resolve an early conflict over the issue. On one side are those who believed circumcision was required in order to be saved. On the other side were those who believed that we are saved by the grace of God alone and not by anything we do. Ultimately the conclusion was that it is through the grace of Jesus alone that we are saved; nothing a person can do needs to be added to what Christ does for us. We cannot earn our salvation; it is solely a work of God.

I am so thankful for the many dimensions of grace that God gives to me; the gift of salvation, equipping me for his service, and the eternity he is preparing me for.

Just an old clay jar that God continues to see fit to use in his kingdom's work. I am retired, married with 2 children, and 4 grandchildren. I have followed Jesus for many years. And I love to share what He has given me from His word.
