To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Jude 1:24-25 NIV

In many places, we are called to live holy lives–to walk uprightly before God and set apart for his purposes. But in Jude’s doxology, he offers praise to the one who is able to keep us from stumbling. In my own strength, I will fall short most of the time. But he provides me with what I need to remain faithful and to grow ever deeper into him.

And he offers praise to the one who will present us to himself without fault and with great joy. What joy it will be, at the end of this life, to come before the Father and hear him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

It is only by the grace of God that we are able to enter into a relationship with God, and to do what pleases him. His grace enables us to live a holy life. So trust him who is able to keep you until the end (2 Tim 1:12). Praise be to God for the indescribable gift of his grace (1 Cor 9:15). To the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power, and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore!
