The Church that Meets in Your Home

Philemon 1:2

To Philemon our dear friend and fellow worker— also to Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier—and to the church that meets in your home:

Philemon 1:1b-2 NIV

Does the church meet in your home? It does periodically in mine. And I meet with the church in other homes as well. In fact, wherever believers gather together, even in small numbers (Matt. 18:20), the church is there. Don’t think of the church only as a large organized gathering that meets on Sunday mornings in big buildings. Rather, the church is wherever believers are. It is good to gather together in our homes and in other places and times. How better to be united in heart, mind, and spirit than to spend time together?

Just an old clay jar that God continues to see fit to use in his kingdom's work. I am retired, married with 2 children, and 4 grandchildren. I have followed Jesus for many years. And I love to share what He has given me from His word.
