God, the one enthroned in heaven, laughs at all of the feeble attempts of humanity to usurp his sovereign place over all of the creation.
There are many challenging things happening today. But Paul tells us not to be anxious about anything. Let God’s peace rule in our hearts.
God is not overly concerned about external trappings. But God does want us to give him the best of what we have. Honor him with your best.
Eternal life is much more than life that lasts forever. It is life that is lived in a personal and intimate relationship with the triune God.
Paul’s encouragement for us here is to always keep on praying for all of the Lord’s people. Pray for their spiritual growth and life.
What humanity could not do for ourselves, God did by sending Jesus, his Son, to be our savior. He gave up his life on the cross for my sin.
Jesus told us to ask for whatever we wish. And it will be done for us. But only if we are abiding in him and so that we will be fruitful.
Jesus taught his disciples many things. And his challenge is not to leave them in our heads. But now that we know, to put them into practice.
