Wishing you a very joyous Christmas as you celebrate that child born in Bethlehem 2000 years ago, Jesus, the Son of God.
The virgin will conceive! What a marvelous sign that God has given to us. This child born to Mary over 2000 years ago is ‘God with us’.
There are many sources that our world turns to for salvation, wisdom and knowledge. But the fear of the Lord is the only true source.
In the midst of uncertain and troubling times, trust in the Lord. He will keep in perfect peace all those whose hope is in him. He cares more than we know.
In challenging time, it could be easy to think that God doesn’t care. But trust in him. He will renew your strength so you can soar on wings like an eagle.
When God called for a volunteer to go, Isaiah did not look around to see if someone else would respond first. He jumped up and said, “Here I am. Send me!”
Do not forget to remember the Son that was born to us today. The one that Isaiah looked forward to. And who now is reigning from heaven over his kingdom.
Take time today to read this song, Isaiah 52:13-53:12, and meditate on its words. Remember the one who died in your place so that you might have life. And give thanks that God loved you so much that he gave his only Son so that you might have eternal life (John 3:16).
It is sometimes tempting to want to correct what God is doing, or allowing; or to give him advice. As if we knew better than he did. But how much better to simply trust him to do what he knows is best. Even when it seems messed up to me.
