Credo

These credos are posts that were originally written as a classroom exercise. Each post provides a brief look at what I believe about the major doctrinal topics of our faith.

indwells the believer

What I Believe . . . Holy Spirit

I believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. That he convicts of sin and that he indwells the believer. He teaches, corrects and equips us.

fully God and fully man

What I Believe . . . Christ

I believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man, the second person of the Trinity. He became man, died on a cross and rose again so that we could have life.

disobedience to God

What I Believe . . . Sin

I believe that there are two aspects to sin. Disobedience to God, and a nature that is focused on self and personal desire. Sin separates me from God.

image bearers

What I Believe . . . Humanity

I believe that humans are created by God and are his image bearers. He has given us rule over the earth. But we have fallen and are separated from him now.

believe about the Bible

What I Believe About The Bible

I believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, is authoritative in all matters of faith and practice, and is truthful in what it teaches and affirms.

What I believe about God

What I Believe About God

I believe that God exists, that he is creator, transcendent, immanent, infinite, triune, self-existent, loving, good, and personal.
