One of the most important things we can do as believers is to spend time together. To edify, encourage, and positively influence each other.

All true believers join together in producing God’s temple. We should be careful that we do nothing to cause division in the body of Christ.
Jesu’ prayer for his church was that we be unified as one in him. Don’t let our differences divide us. Let our love for Christ unite us.
After his resurrection, Jesus commissioned Peter to take care of his sheep. A task given to all pastors and teachers. Feeding the flock.
Pergamum had some good qualities. But they were also starting to become a compromising church, looking to fit into the culture around them.
Ephesus had so much to be commended for. They worked hard and were doctrinally sound. But they had lost their first love. And it was serious.
This is a follow-up post to the one describing my in-person worship experience. Unlike the first trip, this one was much better,
I attended in person worship service today for the first time in 13 months. And it was a big challenge for this introvert / hermit.
Paul describes the mystery of Christ as being Christ in us. We are the temple he lives in. And that magnifies the call for personal holiness.
Is it possible to have a living relationship with God apart from being an active member of a local church body? I don’t believe so.
