You brood of vipers! John’s call to repentance was forceful with no holds barred. And the people responded to his call in droves.
It is necessary to call on the name of the Lord to be saved. But people cannot do that if no one will share the good news of Jesus with them.
John dressed in camel’s hair and preached in the wilderness, and people flocked to him in repentance. Our methods are not as important as the message.
A star in the east led wise men to Jesus. The same one who was responsible for that star shines a light in our hearts. WIll we follow it to Jesus and life?
Follow John’s example in consuming God’s word. It will be sweet at times and bitter at other times. But always it is good.
Support a missionary; pray for them, write to them, offer financial support, welcome them when they visit; be a fellow worker with them.
Paul’s primary mission was to call people to turn to God in repentance and to have faith in our Lord Jesus. Should we not follow his example?
How much responsibility do I bear for the lost that I encounter but do not share Christ with? Am I a faithful watchman, giving a warning?
Jesus’ call to be his witness isn’t just something expected of the first generation of believers. His call is to all who have experienced him.
Who are the Gentiles in your life? The ones that you would be amazed to see come to Christ? Is there anyone you would not share Christ with?
How do you respond to those who ask about your faith? One thing each of should be able to do is share our personal experience with Christ.
