What Does the Bible Teach about Social Justice?
Social justice involves caring for the poor and helpless in society. And the Bible admonishes us repeatedly to practice social justice.

It would be so easy to join with the religious leaders of Jesus’ day and throw stones at those who are sinful. But am I any better than them?
God’s mercy and justice come together at the cross, resulting in our salvation. God did for us, in the death of Jesus, what we could not do.
In response to the question “Who is my neighbor”, Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan. Our neighbor is anyone that we can help.
Jesus will show mercy to all who come to him. Even the unworthy dogs under the table who seem of no account. Jesus loves us all.
Because Jesus is our great high priest, who has experienced the life we live, we can confidently come to God for his grace and mercy.
God will save us, not because of anything we do, but because of his mercy. He will save all who call to him with faith in the Lord Jesus.
Our natural reaction is often to turn away from helping an enemy. But this passage instructs us to lend a helping hand to them.
Why does God hear and respond to our prayer? It is not because of anything that we are. Rather, it is because of his great mercy toward us.
We need to guard against judging by external appearances and be merciful instead. Because mercy triumphs over judgment.
Proverbs tells us that when we are kind to the poor, God sees it as a loan to himself and that he will reward us accordingly. So be generous.
Isaiah tells us what kind of fast is pleasing to God. It is one where I take what I would spend on myself, and share it with those in need.
