Sermon on the Mount: Treasure in Heaven – Matthew 6:19-24
Jesus tells us to store up treasure in heaven, rather than worldly wealth. By serving God faithfully now, we are depositing for eternity.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. (2 Cor. 4:7 NIV)
Jesus tells us to store up treasure in heaven, rather than worldly wealth. By serving God faithfully now, we are depositing for eternity.
Christ desires his church to be either hot or cold. But how many are lukewarm churches, in danger of being spewed out of his mouth?
You cannot love the things of this world and also love God. You cannot serve two masters. Hold tightly to God and loosely to the world.
