Join with David in letting the praise of the Lord always be on our lips. Worship him when alone. And worship him when gathered with other believers.
Make a joyful noise to the Lord. Lift up your voice to praise him for all he has done. He is certainly worthy of our praise and worship.
What has God done for you. Take time to recount the Lord’s blessings. And then bless the Lord, with your inmost being, for what he has done.
I love being out in the creation. And when I am, the words of this psalm are often on my lips. The heavens. and all of creation, declare the glory of God.
In the midst of a challenging time, when God seemed far away, and the psalmist’s soul was thirsting for God, he choose to hope in God and praise him.
If we are silent and fail to praise God for all he has done in our lives, the stones will cry out; all of creation will praise it’s creator. Don’t let the stones drown you out.
God blesses all people in the physical realm. But those who are in Christ also are spiritually blessed. The spiritual blessings he give include: being chosen to be holy in God’s sight; predestined to sonship; redeemed by the blood of Christ; and the knowledge of God’s will. Praise God for his many blessings!
This is likely one of the best known verses in the Bible. It is also one of the most significant; containing the heart of the gospel. Humanity is a lost and fallen race, unable to do anything to please God, condemned to perish. But God loves us, and not just some of us, but the whole world, everyone in it. God gave his Son, Jesus, to be an atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world. And anyone who believes in Jesus is delivered from destruction and given eternal life.
In Jude’s doxology he offers praise to the one who is able to keep us from stumbling and who will present us to himself without fault and with great joy. It is only by the grace of God that we am able to enter into a relationship with God, and to do what pleases him. His grace enables us to live a holy life.
