As believers, all of us are called to serve the Lord. And those who serve well have great standing in the kingdom and assurance in the faith.
This is an important reminder for those of us who have served the Lord for many years. Never be lacking in zeal. Keep your spiritual fervor.
Jeremiah’s life is a lesson in faithful service to the Lord. His life seemed to make little difference. But he was faithful to God’s call.
Joshua’s charge to Israel is appropriate for us as well. To faithfully love, obey, and serve the Lord our God.
While we wait for Jesus return, he calls on us to be faithful and wise servants. Then, when he returns, we will be rewarded.
Has God called you to serve, or minister, behind the scenes in obscurity? Then rejoice that he is using you, and lift your hands in praise.
Jesus tells us that if we seek we will find. What is it that we should be looking for? Seek God’s will for your life and kingdom service.
There are many ways that we might measure the faithfulness of a servant of Christ. Paul choose to measure by how much he had suffered.
Any competence I have in serving God comes from him. He has called each of us into his service and equipped us for that service.
Broken people abound in the world, myself included. But I am so thankful that Jesus loves people who have failed, bring healing to us.
Like Paul, my goal should be to be pleasing to God rather than to the people around me. He is the one I am answerable to in the end.
