Are you ever too old to be of service in God’s kingdom? The story of Moses would tell us that we are never too old, no matter our age.
When God called for a volunteer to go, Isaiah did not look around to see if someone else would respond first. He jumped up and said, “Here I am. Send me!”
Whatever you do, do it as for the Lord. Are you employed? THen serve as if Christ was your boss, because he is. And whatever else you do, do it for Christ.
Are you depending on your reputation as a Christian? If you are, Jesus says to wake up. Don’t live in the past. But stay fully engaged as a Christ follower.
I am like a clay jar. Fragile and unworthy of the treasure God has seen fit to put within me. The treasure of the indwelling Holy Spirit. And my prayer is that the power of God that worked in Paul would also be at work in me. I pray that his light would shine out in the words of this blog. And that he would use them to glorify himself, and to advance his kingdom.
Paul spent two years under Roman arrest. But his prison ministry was exceedingly fruitful. Don’t let your circumstances keep you from faithful serving God.
