Looking for A Reason to Accuse – Mark 3:1-2
The religious leaders of Jesus’ day looked for reasons to accuse Jesus and discredit him. Jesus’ disciples today can expect the same thing.

Peter encourages us to be eager to do good and to revere Christ as Lord, regardless of the way other people might respond to you.
We have been given an amazing hope for eternity. And, because of that, we can rejoice in the midst of any trials that we experience now.
People will be offended with us when we live for Christ. And we can expect to be insulted. But Jesus calls on us to bless those who curse us.
I want life as a Christian to be easy. But Paul tells me that I must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.
How should we respond when we are insulted because of the name of Christ. Because we are his? Rejoice and see that it is really a blessing.
Persecution is the common experience of all who would live godly lives in Christ. Don’t be discouraged by this. Rejoice in your suffering.
Who likes to suffer? No one! But we have been given the privilege of suffering for Christ. Rather than complain about it, we should rejoice in it.
As a child of God I am his heir, so long as I am willing to suffer for Christ. But that suffering is nothing compared to the glory that awaits me as God’s heir.
As believers in Jesus we should expect to suffer. But if we can avoid a beating, while remaining faithful to Christ, then do so.
Responding to insults, especially because of our faith in Christ, is hard. No one likes to be insulted. But we should follow Christ’s example.
