Thanking God for You

Philippians 1:3-6

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:3-6 NIV

I am so thankful for the fellow believers that God has brought into my life. I am thankful for the opportunity we have had to serve our Lord together. Sometimes that has been only for a short time, and sometimes for much longer. We have served together within the church, in the Navy, on the job, and as a family. My life is so much richer because of each of you.

Some of you have caused me heartache. Others have encouraged me, lifting me up when I was down. And still others of you have been co-laborers with me in the Lord’s service. But I pray with joy for all of you, knowing that God has used you both in my life and in his kingdom.

It is God who is working in all of us to bring us to completion on the day of Christ. I look forward to seeing what that will look like. And I look forward to an eternity with you as together we serve and honor our Lord. I do thank God for each of you and the part you have played in my life.
