Salvation Offered to All People

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.

Titus 2:11 NIV

Grace is a word that means kindness or favor. The grace of God is His favor and kindness directed toward humanity. He does not show kindness to us because we deserve it in any way. We are quite unworthy of His grace. His grace is given to us because of His love and mercy.

God’s grace is most clearly seen in the gift of salvation that He offers to people who deserve nothing other than destruction. He does not offer this gift only to the best of us or to those who meet some standard He has set. Through His grace, He offers salvation to all people.

That God extends this gracious gift of salvation to all people does not mean that all are saved. God does require that we respond in faith. Faith that is more than just saying a few words or a simple intellectual acknowledgment. Faith is trusting Jesus as Lord and following where He leads.

Praise God for His indescribable grace (2 Cor. 9:15) that offers salvation to all people.
