Jesus calls on me to love my enemies. To do good to them. This is hard. Yet I don’t see it as being a suggestion for advanced disciples only.
Jesus seems not to be as concerned with how much we give as he is with our motives. When we give with love, it is enough.
As followers of the Lord Jesus, we will face opposition. But we are called to put on the armor of God, and then to stand our ground.
As you live your life in Christ, be encouraged by the great cloud of witnesses who came before you, and who are now cheering you on.
As believers in our Lord Jesus, we represent him to the world around us. So be careful that everything you say or do is in Jesus’s name.
You are not saved just by walking the aisle and saying the sinner’s prayer. Salvation is for those who continue in their faith to the end.
The futility of legalism should be obvious to anyone who has attempted to live by a strict code of conduct. It never changes a person’s heart.
We most often see the physical side of the cross. But at the cross, Jesus defeated his enemies, and ours. The cross was his greatest victory.
Conflicts in the body of Christ are all to unfortunately a common occurrence. And the root cause is often personal desires that conflict.
