Rather than be judgmental about non-core beliefs, demonstrate love. Knowledge can puff up a person, but love builds other up.
There is much that God has revealed to us, but not everything. There are secret things that he has chosen not to reveal to us yet.
Now we know in part, our knowledge of God and his activity is incomplete. But someday that will change and we can more fully understand him.
Peter here tells us how to be secure and effective in our faith. By growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
While the fear of the Lord includes an element of fear, it is also reverence for him. And that reverence and respect is the beginning of real knowledge.
