Instruction to Shepherds – 1 Peter 5:1-4
Peter instructs elders to be shepherds to the flock under their care. Regardless of the size of your flock, serve as an example to them.

It is sad and unfortunate when the church is divided. Especially when the division is caused because of allegiance to individuals rather than to Jesus.
In this passage Peter gives some encouragement and instruction to the elders of the church. Being a shepherd is a rewarding calling, worth doing well.
How do you deal with leadership problems within the church? God showed one method when the earth opened up and swallowed up the problem.
How do we select our leaders, especially within the church? Based on their character in leadership? Or how appealing they sound to us?
