Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.

Psalm 62:8 NIV

This psalm, attributed to David, is an affirmation of trust in God, even in the midst of challenging times. In it, David expressed that his soul had found rest in God, his hope came from God, and that God was his rock and fortress. What David said should be something that all believers experience. In the midst of a troubled world, we can pour out our hearts to God, and find rest, hope, and security.

Trust in God. Trust that he loves you and will take care of you. Even when your circumstances look bleak.

Pour out your heart to God. Tell him how you feel. Not what you think he wants to hear. But what is actually on your heart. He already knows what is hidden there, so you will not shock or disappoint him when you pour out your heart. Be honest with God. You can trust him to love you. To comfort you. To forgive you. And to give you the help you need.

Make God your refuge. A secure place to put your heart and all you hold dear. A place where you can run when life is overwhelming or uncertain. A place to go and find rest for your soul.

Trust in God. He will never let you down.
